South Padre Island is not only a great family and spring break beach destination, but also a fun place to bring your dogs. Oh yes! All pups that have visited the island agree! There are a variety of dog-friendly accommodation options, and some are located right on the beach. Your furry kids are sure to enjoy the wide open space, splashing in the water, and maybe even digging a few holes. Yes, it can get a little messy, but as long as you don’t mind it too much, all of you are sure to have a great time. The fun doesn’t start and end at the beach, however. You can take your dogs to a place like Laguna Madre Nature Trail, and watch together all the unique birds that inhabit this area. There are also a great number of dog-friendly restaurants around South Padre Island, so you and your pups can choose from a variety of menu options.

Here is the story of one happy dog, Sammy the Golden Retriever, who visited South Padre Island with his family and had a jolly good time. Find out where he stayed, what he did, and how messy he got!
