Ready to check some things off your bucket list while you’re on South Padre Island? With a variety of watersports and activities that are perfect for the thrill-seeker, we’ve got you covered!

Parasailing

If you’re looking for a thrilling experience that’s not quite as intense as skydiving, take to the skies with a parasailing tour from one of several Island vendors. The breathtaking aerial views you’ll experience from 600 feet above the Laguna Madre Bay will surely make you fall in love with the Island (if you haven’t already).

Ziplining

With Island Adventure Park's unique quick zipline transition system you will be able to zip around the zipline circuit as fast or slow as you want (and as many times as you want to!). Zippers start at the top tower to soar 500 feet across to the next platform, while the parallel ziplines allow groups or families to zip (race) together and simultaneously share the experience.

Jetski

Got the need for speed? Catch a wave on a jet ski tour and see the Island by water! Highlights of the various tours include riding under the Queen Isabella Causeway and into the “Fingers” of Port Isabel, where you’ll see the commercial shrimping industry, the spooky haunted ship, and other secret spots. BONUS: You get to go to Dolphin Cove and see the dolphins play in their Laguna Madre home!

Looking for kid-friendly thrills?

Head to Gravity Park, an adventure and amusement park in the Entertainment District that includes a multi-level adult Go-Kart track, children's Go-Karts, Mini-Golf, a trampoline, a climbing wall, and a Skycoaster (Swing) with a great view of the Island! There’s still something for the adrenaline junkie at Gravity Park — the tallest Reverse-Bungee in the world, The Rocket. Gravity Park also has an all-new 63’ Ferris Wheel!

If shooting down a water slide is your thing, “slip” on over to Beach Park at Isla Blanca. The waterpark is designed with families in mind, so there really is something for everyone. The more adventurous in your cohort should try the water coasters Gale Force and Storm Chaser, or plummet down the tube chute Pirate’s Plunge. There are 24 rides, the Boogie Bahn Surfing Wave, and it’s all connected by a lazy river!
Island Insider Tip: For all the adults looking to decompress, head to the Palapa Swim-Up Bar and nab a cocktail.
