The South end of Padre Island National Seashore offers twenty-eight miles of undeveloped beachfront on a 34 mile stretch of silky sand. Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, Bahia Grande Estuary and the South Bay of Laguna Madre are also within easy range.

Join those visitors who flock to South Padre Island to absorb the natural beauty of this Island paradise and surrounding areas. Birders travel from around the world to observe the bi-annual migration of over 300 species of neo-tropical birds. Families can visit Sea Turtle Inc. and learn about the importance of protecting the endangered Kemps Ridley Sea Turtle and other species native to this area.  Take a dolphin tour and watch them in their natural habitat. Learn why our  dolphin families are protected from touch and thriving in the shallow waters of the Laguna Madre Bay.
