South Padre Island Convention Centre

The South Padre Island Convention Centre's 45,000 square feet of meeting space can be utilized in a variety of configurations. Primary facilities include 22,500 square feet of exhibit hall space with a clear ceiling height of 36 feet for concerts, large meetings and sporting events; a 2,633 sq. ft. modern, media-oriented conference auditorium for 250; and 9,000 square feet of meeting rooms in various sizes. A large central lobby will also house exhibits and functions. A large terrace adjoins the lobby and a formal entry court provides covered arrival and waiting areas for people parking in the paved areas for 500 cars.

Two professional teams serve meetings, conventions, conferences, trade shows, exhibits and special events on the island. The Convention Centre staff of accomplished meeting service personnel, facilities managers, catering, audio/visual and other technical support provide personal attention throughout the year for each event. The Convention and Visitors Bureau will assist with all areas of planning including housing, registration, spouse activities, transportation, public relations and a total "island friendly" commitment to each group and its participants. You will work with your own individual conference planner to design a meeting that incorporates the special excitement of a tropical location - and you'll still be in Texas. And, we make it easy to include Mexico in your itinerary - it's just 25 miles away.
