The mission of the South Padre Island Convention & Visitors Bureau is to enhance the economic fabric, tax base and employment opportunities in South Padre Island through destination and facility marketing.
The South Padre Island CVB was founded in 1987 and is the destination marketing entity for the City of South Padre Island. We are funded annually by local Hotel & Motel taxes. Through the CVB's marketing and sales, we are able to attract groups and leisure travelers to South Padre Island! In doing so, we are able to expand the economic base of the city, while at the same time showing you the many things South Padre Island has to offer!
Our four CVB sales representatives, each handling a different market based upon regional location, book hotel rooms in South Padre Island. The regional location of the group you are interested in bringing to South Padre Island will determine who your primary CVB contact will be throughout the planning process. Once the sales process has been completed, the Convention Services Specialist will handle the specifics of your meeting needs. From there, we help coordinate transportation, registration and other details to make your event run smoothly.
